Life is Like a Box of Chocolates…..

Write a blog?

Really??!

Who has time for that? Who is going to read it? Who said I even like to write? What would I write about?

ARE YOU KIDDING?????

This all started because my fiance and soon to be husband did some amazing things with his home staging company using social media. He talked me into getting onto facebook, creating a linkedin profile and starting a twitter account for my job as the VP of Sales and Operations for my company, PR Omni Nashville.

Then I started following Chris Brogan, author of the amazing book, Trust Agents, on using these new tools and reading his blog. His ideas are pretty simple: people don’t trust traditional marketing and advertising these days. They trust recommendations of their friends and they do business only with those they trust. Building trust is not quick and not easy. You can’t fake it. He says the first step on building trust is simply to blog – to put it all out there so that people can get a feel for who they are doing business with and decide for themselves if they trust you.

I’m a fun person to be around. I love office pranks, practical jokes and generally having a great time while working. I believe in stellar customer service and on treating people the way I would want to be treated. I believe in doing things RIGHT.

These qualities have built me a large customer following and if you ever have a chance to communicate with me over social networks or to hire me to tackle that impossible printing job with the nightmare deadline, I think you’ll make a friend that deserves your trust.

Life may be like a box of chocolates but that doesn’t mean your printing job needs to be. You should get exactly what you need, 100% of the time.

Thanks for reading,

Angie

  1. Wow – nice blog and welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. Looking forward to reading your posts!

You have a Nashville “neighbor,” Robin Crow, who wrote a book entitled Jump and the Net Will Appear. Based on this inaugural post, your jump off the cliff was right into a secure net.

Nice job, and I look forward to learning more about you and your industry as the months progress.

  3. Welcome to blogging, Angie. I hope that it’s a fun adventure. I hope that you find it’s useful to your business. Who’s your audience, do you think? Will it be potential clients? Interesting to see it launch. I hope to check in soon. : )

  4. Andrew: Thanks for checking out the blog and for the book reference. Nashville is a creative city, full of some really interesting people. I’m looking forward to reading his book and I hope you do check back!

  5. Chris, Thanks a ton for leaving a comment and for giving me the inspiration to start this blog. I hope that I end up with a really great group of people I really like through the blog first and they end up being customers second. I’m hopeful that I can use the blog to stay connected with customers by writing about what they are doing with my printing more than using the blog to just make sales. We’ve already got a website – I’d like to think people would get a feel for our company and trust us which makes for the best kind of customer.
    Hope you check back! 🙂
